The danger is twofold but compounded by the cult member I've had locked in my basement for the last month or so.
The cult's attention was inevitably going to fall on me given my involvement in an investigation into their activities, but the abduction is illegal no matter how you look at it. Given the current tensions brewing between meta and non-meta, the risk of discovery is steeper than just landing on the wrong side of the law.
